Since the winter rains are starting to come upon us, we are walking in the forest behind the house and then visiting the food plot.  One of the few bare earth areas shows a story of what has been going on.  Can you see it?

The top left is a deer track, probably doe.  Below is a close up of the track.

Below is the predator, a coyote.  We know it wasn’t Badger Boy’s since he hadn’t been there in a few days since the rain.  This track is more oblong, classic coyote.  Canine tends to be a little more round.

It always amazes me how active the woods are.  Just looking at it from a distance doesn’t reveal it’s secrets.  You have to get into the forest and slow down.  Sometimes walking speed is too fast; just watch and observe.  That’s how I found this.
